Lamb of God

Grove Creek Stake presents Lamb of God

April 27-28, 2024

Under the direction of Kathryn Laycock Little and Denise Willey

“Lamb of God” is a dramatic musical portrayal of the final days of the life of Jesus, from the foreshadowing raising of Lazarus, to the devastating arrest and crucifixion of Jesus, and finally to his glorious resurrection. Composed and written by Rob Gardner, the story of Jesus is told through the perspective of those who loved and walked with him: Peter, John, Thomas, Mary and Martha of Bethany, Mary Magdalene and his Mother Mary.

Rehearsal Tracks

Lamb of God at Temple Hill in Oakland, California has generously shared their rehearsal tracks with us. Spire Music allows the creation of rehearsal tracks, but asks that they are not published publicly on the internet. Please use these rehearsal tracks just for your personal practice. It is the Lamb of God soundtrack with the piano playing the notes for each part loudly over the soundtrack. There are also pronunciation guides for the Aramaic words. You can use the free choir music download (see Sing-Along info above) for a digital copy of the music to practice with until you get a printed copy when rehearsals start.

There are also some new rehearsal tracks that have one for each voice part (Soprano 1, Soprano 2, etc.).

There are also rehearsal tracks for the soloists that is just the piano part being played.

Google Drive Link  Click on the link to go to Google Drive for the practice tracks. You can play them in your browser window or download them to use with a music player of your choice such as iTunes. Ask your grandkids if you need help.

If you are wanting to see other versions of the music to mark cues on your music, the Google Drive Link now also includes the pdf copies of the score with the soloist and narration parts, the full conductor score and the orchestra parts. These are to be used only for our performance. If you want your own copies, purchase them from Spire Music (link above).
